Central’s Meme Pages

The two instagram pages making central students giggle

There have been two Instagram pages gaining attention recently, highlighting the comedy of  Billings Central through memes. The two pages, @bcchsmemepage2 (a successor to an older meme page, @bcchsmemepage) and @bc_we_are, are very popular among Central’s student body.

The creator of @bcchsmemepage2 created the account after having the idea to make a new meme page for a couple years. After posting its first meme, it became popular to post memes whenever anything funny would happen during the day, or memes referencing inside jokes among the students. @bcchsmemepage2 also accepts submissions to be posted to the  264 followers the page currently has.

The meme pages have to be cautious with what they post, as they could ruin the fun with one hurtful post. At the end of a recent Mass, Mr. Hanser talked about social media pages that have surfaced recently and informed everyone on the dangers of how things like this usually end badly.

There are only two pages for Central that are known. @bc_we_are posts a lot, while @bcchsmemepage2 posts around once a week. There are no signs that the two are competing against each other, but when questioned, the creator of  @bcchsmemepage2 claimed, “If it is a competition, then I’m winning. I have more followers. @bc_we_are prioritizes putting out a meme every day, rather than making good memes.”
