Homecoming week at Billings Central offers many exciting activities, dress-up days, and events. Friday night concluded the week with many fun moments, including two important events: the homecoming football game and the homecoming dance.
At 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15th, Billings Central kicked off their homecoming football game against Laurel. It was a very back-and-forth game. At the end of the first quarter, the Rams trailed 6-7. The Rams then took the lead with two touchdowns to lead 20-7. Laurel answered with two more touchdowns to start halftime with Laurel leading 21-20. The student section was having a great time cheering and engaging in the game.
During halftime, Homecoming Royalty Candidates walked down the field with their families. The girls who were nominated for queen were Emma Bohrer, Finley Hauk, Gillian Henning, McKenna Larson, and Avery Mack. The boys who were nominated for king were Xavier Brackenridge, Henry Jagodzinski, Kellan McClintock, John Pender, and Keagan Reas. This year, the winners were Emma Bohrer and Keagan Reas.
The Rams re-entered the stadium after half-time, aggressive and ready to take the lead. The third quarter, however, ended scoreless. The Rams rallied together though and took the lead in the fourth quarter making the score 26-21. They kept that lead, winning the homecoming game.
Twenty minutes after the clock hit zero at the football game, Central students went back to the school for the homecoming dance. Students danced with their friends and took pictures. The Friday night activities during homecoming week were a great way to finish off a fun week filled with Ram spirit.
