Billings Central’s Stop the Bleed initiative, spearheaded by seniors Henry Jagodzinski and Casey Rah, has left a lasting impact on the school community. Over two days, students and staff engaged in training sessions covering crucial life-saving skills for emergencies.
The event, which took place on October 11th and 12th, featured a lecture from Billings Clinic health professionals on the first day followed by hands-on learning sessions during theology classes on the second day. Participants gained expertise in CPR, applying tourniquets, administering EpiPens, and more.
Months of meticulous planning and dedication from Jagodzinski and Rah, with the support of their teacher Krista Cunningham and guidance from professionals at Billings Clinic, culminated in a successful event. Their vision, outlined in a ten-page document by Rah, turned into a reality, showcasing the positive impact students can make when driven by a commitment to the community.
The Stop the Bleed training was tailored to meet the specific needs of Billings Central students. It serves as a testament to the importance of supporting students in making a difference in the lives of their peers and teachers.
