On Sunday November 19, 2023, at Billings Central Catholic High School, the senior class gathered in the gym to participate in the annual Ram Jam Cake Auction. This event supports the Class of 2024’s drug and alcohol free graduation party that will immediately follow their graduation in May. This event allows the students to be creative and show off their baking and decorating skills.
Each senior was challenged to decorate a cake that represents their experience at Billings Central, something they are passionate about, or something they love. There was a wide variety of cakes at the auction. There were many sports themed cakes, including football, swim, and tennis. BCCHS themed cakes were very popular as well. There was an assortment of cakes the showed students passions like film class, music and skiing.
During the auction, each student walked out with their cake so the crowd could bid on it. As each student walked out with their cake, the auctioneer read a description of their cake. After the event concluded, everyone was welcome to come to a chili and cinnamon roll feed to support the Class of 2024.
The cake auction is a creative way for students to express their interests and passions, grow closer to each other, and raise money for their graduation party.
