The plot follows four high school students from diverse backgrounds. Despite not having chemistry or belonging together at first, they find each other through their shared passion for music. By the end of the film, they will be competing in an epic battle of the bands. “We can’t give away too much,” said one of the students involved in the project, Ella Fairbanks, a junior. “But it’s about how these students come together and discover something bigger than themselves through music.” With original music and dynamic performances, the film is sure to resonate with everyone.
Senior Jacob Jewett developed the concept, with help from seniors Anna Kim and Kelly Early. It has been brought to life under the guidance of Shane Fairbanks, BCCHS history and film teacher. “Shane does so much for this project every year,” one student shared. “He’s been amazing throughout the whole process, and we couldn’t do it without him.” His dedication to the film has made it one of the most anticipated events for students and faculty alike.

Auditions are already underway, with students reading lines from the script in the yearbook room, where the audition committee takes notes. “We’ve been going in one by one to say our lines, but a lot of people are auditioning together for scenes,” one actor shared. “It’s been a really cool process to see it all come together.

With filming scheduled to take place over just a few days, the team is already preparing for the real work to begin—editing. “The editing process is the most time-consuming part,” Ella Fairbanks explained. “But it’s what makes the final product really special,” added senior Milana Michalsky.
As always, extras will be needed to fill out the high school scenes. “We need extras, for sure,” one of the students mentioned. “It’s set in a high school, so we’ll need people to help make it feel real.” Whether you’re a fan of the film or just want to be involved, there is a place for you to contribute. So, if you’ve ever wanted to be part of a film, this is your chance!

Make sure to mark your calendars and get ready for a night of celebration, creativity, and community.
