It’s that time of the year again, and fall sports are in full swing at Billings Central Catholic High School. A large number of students have participated in fall sports including cross country, cheer, volleyball, football, golf, and soccer. Many of Central’s students represent their school on the field, showcase their talents, and demonstrate good sportsmanship as part of a team.
Soccer, in particular, has had a successful season up to this point. Both the boys’ and the girls’ soccer teams have been very successful this season. The boys’ record is 6-0-3 (3 ties), and the girls’ record is 8-1-0. This is excellent for this time in the season, and the Rams must continue to work hard to secure a home-field advantage in the playoffs.
This year, both the boys’ and the girls’ teams have gained many new players and brought more talent to the teams. The girls, in particular, have added 12 freshmen to their roster. Goalkeeper Olivia Tourtlotte said, “We are fortunate to have gained a ton of talented freshmen. I am optimistic in our ability as a team.” Olivia and many of the other girls have faith in their team this season with a state championship in their sights. They will have to work together as a team and have faith. Go Rams!
