Central students really dressed their best for “A Night in NYC.” Central’s annual TWIRP occurred on December 6th this year. Traditionally for TWIRP, girls invite boys to attend with them and pay for their dinner and ticket. However, lots of friend groups chose to attend together as well. Friends met up beforehand for pictures, dinner, and even limo rides before going to the dance later in the evening.
Although the nominees for TWIRP King and Queen were announced a few weeks ago, the winners were not announced until the dance. The winners this year were Evan Harrell as King and Kaitlyn Foster as Queen. After they were announced as TWIRP royalty, they danced together to celebrate.

The dance occurred in the small part of the Gymnasium, and it was decorated according to the “A Night in NYC” theme by the Student Council. There was a big tent to dance underneath and themed decorations hanging from it. The themed atmosphere made it easy to have a fabulous time. There was even a photo booth area to take pictures with friends. Also, there was great music playing to put everyone in a great mood to dance.
After the dance, a lot of friend groups did a fun activity after or just went over to a friend’s house to hang out. Central’s TWIRP was a wonderful experience, and students are excited for more upcoming school dances.
