The Billings Central softball team kicked off their season in impressive fashion, going undefeated in a four-game jamboree. The team showed string hitting, solid defense, and good teamwork throughout the day.
In their first game, Central beat Miles City 10-2. The team came out ready to play which helped them with an early lead. They stayed in control the whole game, with hard pitching and consistent defense that helped keep Miles City from scoring many runs.

The momentum carried into the second game, where Billings Central played Senior High’s junior varsity team. In a tighter game, Central showed composure and discipline and won the game 4-1. The team played smart, made good plays, and got important hits when they needed them.
In game three, Central’s offense exploded as they beat West High’s junior varsity team 15-2. The lineup followed its rhythm, producing runs and capitalizing on scoring opportunities. Once again, defensive consistency backed up the team’s strong batting.
The final game of the jamboree finished, with Billings Central defeating Fergus’s junior varsity team 15-4. The team continued its strong offense and defense to secure the win. The jamboree highlighted Central’s balanced strength, effective pitching, reliable defense, and a strong offense. Starting the season 4-0, the team has shown early confidence and momentum as they look ahead to the rest of their schedule.
