Billings Central extended their win streak to twenty games with a shutout victory over the Hardin Bulldogs, and a dominant win over the Sidney Eagles in the conference championship game. Against Hardin, the Rams dominated both sides of the ball in a 63-0 shutout. Senior quarterback Howie Martin threw for 261 yards and five touchdowns, including a 93-yard touchdown to Montana Grizzlies commit William Snell. Snell finished with two touchdowns and 162 receiving yards on only four receptions. Seniors Kael Aldrich and Brennan Harlan each got receiving touchdowns, as well as junior Mason Sant, who got his first career touchdown. Sophomore Bauer Beckwith got his second career touchdown, on a 22-yard run to complete the scoring.
Against the Sidney Eagles, the Rams continued their dominant ways with a 52-14 win to conquer the conference. Howie Martin had 214 passing yards and three touchdowns, two to William Snell. t recently for the Rams, making 25 straight point-after kicks and successfully making his first field goal attempt of the season against the Eagles. Martin is second in Class A in points accounted for.
Next week, the Rams look to finish the regular season undefeated, when they play the Dawson County Red Devils in Glendive on Friday. The Devils are 4-3 on the season, with three straight wins against Hardin, Miles City and Lockwood. As for the Eagles, they move to 6-2 on the season. They will wrap up their regular season in Hardin this Friday.
