Individually, senior Jordan Nielsen took second at state. Cece Fornshell, a freshman, and Kaitlin Ferris, a senior, tied for eighth. When asked about her first season as a Central golfer, Fornshell stated, “It was a pretty exciting first season, it definitely set the bar pretty high.” The girls’ golf team worked incredibly hard all season, and they ended up earning the state champion title once again.
BC sophomore Colin Jensen was the boys’ state champion. Caleb Fornshell, a senior, took second, and Matthew Hermanson, a junior, came in 18th. Every member of the boys’ team performed very well, and they ended up getting second at state overall.
Both of Central’s golf teams performed outstandingly at state. This was an especially great year for the seniors to end on, as Fornshell stated, “I’m super sad to see the seniors go but happy they had a good last season.” Everyone is definitely sad to see the seniors go, but the teams are excited to see what more they can accomplish next season.
